Terms & Conditions 

Please read these Terms & Conditions before booking any guiding services.

Guide Fees

Guide fees apply per guiding hour, not per participant.

The number of participants does not affect the fee; however, for safety reasons, a maximum group size may be set.

Please inform me in advance if you have specific requests regarding group size or destinations.

Guide fees do not include tips.

A customary gratuity is approximately 10% of the guide fee.

Cancellation 
Policy

  • Bookings for 1 Day Only

Within 96 hours of the scheduled date100%

Within 10 days of the scheduled date50%

  • Bookings for 2–4 Days

As above plus Within 2 weeks from the first scheduled day20%

  • Bookings for 5+ Days

​As above plus Within Within 1 month  from the first scheduled day20%

  • Bespoke / Tailor-Made Tours

After the contract is confirmed: 100%

Refund Policy

  • If paid by credit or debit card

Refunds are issued to the same card used for payment.

The refunded amount will be:

Total amount paid
minus card processing fees (actual cost)
minus administrative fee (10% of the paid amount).

Exchange rate fluctuations may affect the final refunded amount.

  • If paid by bank transfer

Refunds are issued to your designated bank account.

The refunded amount will be:

Total amount paid
minus bank transfer fees (actual cost)
minus administrative fee (10% of the paid amount).

Exchange rate fluctuations may apply.

Expenses During Tours

The following costs are not included in the guide fee and must be covered by the client:

Transportation

  • Public transport, taxis, or other travel costs during the tour.

  • Private vehicle hire can be arranged separately.

  • Costs vary depending on group size, season, and mileage.

Entrance Fees

  • Entrance fees to attractions are not included.

  • Most major sites are free for Blue Badge Guides, but some exceptions include:

    • Harry Potter Studio Tour

    • Churchill War Rooms

    • Highgate Cemetery

    • …and other locations that charge guide admission.

Meals & Refreshments

  • Client meals and drinks are not included.

  • If the guide joins the meal, the client covers the guide’s meal cost.

  • If the guide eats separately, meal expenses are added as a supplement.

Guide Tips

  • Not included in the fee.

  • A typical gratuity is around 10%.

Additional Charges (When Applicable)

  • Christmas, Easter, and public holidays: premium rates apply.

  • Advance arrangements (e.g., research, appointment bookings): may incur additional fees.

  • Tours starting or ending between 22:00–07:00: taxi fare required.

  • Tours starting/ending outside London Zone 1: transportation costs apply.

  • Travel time to/from locations outside central London is charged as guide journey time.

  • Overnight Supplement: £60 per night

  • If meals are not provided:

    • Breakfast: £20+

    • Lunch: £20+

    • Dinner: £30+

  • If pre- or post-tour accommodation is required:

    • Half-day fee applies.

Service Suspension or Cancellation by the Guide

The guide may suspend or cancel part or all of the service without prior notice in cases such as:

  • War, violence, terrorism, natural disasters, fire, power outages, or other force majeure.

  • Government or police advisories requiring tour suspension.

  • Situations where client or guide safety cannot be ensured.

In such cases, guide fees are non-refundable.

Changes, Cancellations, or Interruptions by the Client

  • Clients may cancel all or part of the service at any time by paying the applicable cancellation charge.

  • Requests for itinerary changes will be accommodated where possible. However, additional costs may apply.

  • Non-refundable tickets already purchased must be paid in full by the client.

If transport delays (flights, trains) cause late arrival:

  • The tour may not be completed as originally planned.

  • Extensions incur additional charges.

  • If a private vehicle was booked and cannot be used due to delay, it is non-refundable.

Substitute Guide

  • In cases of illness, accident, or unavoidable circumstances, a substitute guide may take over.

  • If substitution is not possible, the contract may be cancelled without charge.

  • No refunds are issued for services already provided.

Guide Liability

  • The guide is liable for damages caused intentionally or through negligence, only if reported at the time of occurrence.

  • Claims made after the tour will be handled sincerely, but compensation may not always be possible.

  • The guide is not liable for:

  • Damages caused by natural disasters, war, strikes, or events beyond control.

  • Loss, theft, or damage to personal belongings.

  • Losses caused by incorrect information (e.g., train timetables) beyond the guide’s control.

Personal Information Handling

  • Your personal information will be handled appropriately and used solely for the purpose of providing guiding services.
