高校卒業後アメリカに留学、ビジネスカレッジで国際リレーションと観光課を選択、日本に帰国後、海外添乗員資格を取得、1996年に英国政府公認ブルーバッジ取得。

経験

1990年 フリーランスの添乗員、1991年に渡英、オフィスワークも含めて旅行業の各分野に携わって今に至ります。

これまでの人生のハイライト

２年間のガイド・トレーニングの後に行われる卒業認定試験の結果、日本人では初めての、その年の“ベスト・サイトガイド”賞を受賞してテレビのドキュメンタリー番組で取り上げられたこと。

普段の仕事

VIPの観光案内のほか、修学旅行や個人旅行など、あらゆる分野での観光ガイド。最近はリピーターの方や、以前のお客様からのご紹介もあって、とても励みになります。それ以外にはリサーチや雑誌などの原稿、コーディネートも興味深い仕事です。

趣味

お料理、読書、最近は暇を見つけてはエッセイなどを書くことに熱中しています。ブログのページから、パブの肴もぜひご覧ください。

イギリスが好きな理由

ロンドンのコスモポリタンな事、気兼ねなくホリディーが取れること、失敗が恥ずかしくないこと、観光ガイドがプロの職業なこと。

 

自分の好きなところ

明るく積極的な性格、失敗すると落ち込みますが、立直りは早い方で楽天家。他人を羨んだり妬んだりしない所。

Education、Qualifications

I was educated in Japan up to High-school, then went to a business college in U.S. to study "International Relations" and "Tourism".
Back to Japan to get a license for "Tour Director".
After two years of "The Blue Badge Course", I've been qualified as a Blue Badge Tourist Guide since 1996.

Work Experience

After a year as a freelance tour director, I moved to England in 1991. Since then I have always worked in a travel industry including office work.

Highlight of my life so far !

When I was qualified as a Blue Badge Guide after two years of hard work, I was awarded as "The Best Site Guide".
I was the first Japanese person to achieve this award, also I appeared on a TV documentary for this.

My Work

I enjoy conducting V.I.P. tours as well as school children's educational trips. Most of my works are from recommendation from my clients, who enjoyed my tours, which makes me very proud.　I also write for magagines, resarch, coordinate upon client's requests.

Hobby

I enjoy cooking, reading, and Blogging which you can find in my website. (I'll try to to translate it in English soon.)

 

Why I love living here

 1: London is such a cosmopolitan city, I don't feel like I'm from another country.
2: Unlike Japan, I can take as much holiday as I like.
3: People's attitude towards one's mistakes.
4: The social status of the tour guide.
